Dub Temple Records is a Brisbane-based independent record label created in 2010 by Science Project’s 8man and Grimes.
Brisbane-based Science Project (8man & Grimes) are the founders of Dub Temple Records, producing together since 2008.  They released their debut EP Alchemystic on Dub Temple Records in 2010, and since then have gone onto release Under The Sun and the Magic Monkey and Waves singles.  They curated the Bob Marley and King Tubby beat tapes produced this year, and 8man released his debut solo EP Loops in October.  The fresh dub, hip-hop, reggae and electronic-inspired sounds produced by this duo, are a unique feature to the Brisbane bass community. The live show with 8man on the Decks/MPC and Grimes MDP/SPD, is highly dynamic centering around a well balanced blend of electronic sounds and roots rhythms. Science Project supported Tokimonsta, Illumsphere and Martyn for the Red Bull Music Academy Brisbane show in 2010, and have also supported The GasLamp Killer, Starkey, Mount Kimbie, Dizz1 and Nosaj Thing, and played the afterparty for Flying Lotus and Thundercat.  Locally they’ve played with Samedi Sound System, Erther, Tigermoth, Speaker Wrath and numerous others, featuring in Dank Morass, White Rhino and Yimah parties. They have also been highly involved in the innovative and experimental Brisbane Beat Sessions and Gold Coast Beat and Pixel sessions.
